Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 23rd July 2026

At Gabble Tech Pvt Ltd ("we," "us," or "our"), we are committed to safeguarding our users ("you," "your," or "yours") privacy and protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and secure your information when you visit and use our website www.gabble.ai and our AI-powered exam-preparation platform ("Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described here, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information about you when you use the Service:
  • Personal information: This is information that personally identifies you, such as your name, email address, and phone number. We may collect personal information when you create an account, contact us, or otherwise interact with the Service.
  • Age eligibility information: When you create an account, we collect your date of birth and country to confirm you meet the minimum age required to use the Service under the laws that apply to you. If our check indicates you do not meet this requirement, we do not create an account for you, and the information you provided for this check is not retained.
  • Written and spoken content: We collect the essays, written answers, and audio recordings you submit for evaluation, and use this content to provide AI-generated scoring and feedback. Because a voice recording can be used to identify you, we treat audio submissions as sensitive information and only process them to deliver and improve the Service, as described below.
  • Device information: This is information about the device you use to access the Service, such as the type of device, operating system, browser, and IP address. We use your IP address to determine your general country location at signup and to help detect and prevent fraud and abuse of the Service.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Our Service may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and provide personalized features. Third-party services like Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics may also use cookies for analytics and session recording. This is information about how you use the Service, such as the pages you visit, the features you use, and the content you view. If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we will ask for your consent before these non-essential cookies are set, using a consent banner; you can change your choice at any time by revisiting that banner or adjusting your browser settings. Visitors elsewhere can manage cookies through their browser settings.

Your Consent
Before we collect your personal data, we aim to give you clear notice of: (a) what personal data we collect and why; (b) how you can exercise your rights and withdraw your consent; and (c) how you can raise a grievance with us or, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India. Where we rely on your consent to process your personal data, you may withdraw that consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by contacting us at contact@gabble.ai or, where available, through your account settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing we carried out before you withdrew it, and we will stop the relevant processing and, where applicable, erase the associated data within a reasonable time, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it.

Third-Party Processors We Use
To deliver and operate the Service, we share the information described above with the following categories of third-party processors, each of which is contractually restricted to using your information only to provide services to us:
  • AI analysis providers: We send your written responses and audio recordings to OpenAI and Anthropic (the provider of Claude) to generate scoring, transcription, and feedback on your submissions.
  • Cloud storage: Your submitted audio and written content is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3).
  • Email delivery: Account, transactional, and support emails are sent using Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES).
  • Payment processors: Payments are processed by Stripe and Razorpay. We do not store your card or payment credentials ourselves.
  • Analytics providers: Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics, as described above.
In addition to these third-party processors, we also use our own proprietary evaluation systems, developed and operated by Gabble Tech Pvt Ltd, to score and analyze your submissions.
How We Use Your Information
We may use the information we collect about you for the following purposes:
  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service: We may use your information to operate, maintain, and improve the Service and to provide the services and features that you request.
  • To communicate with you: We may use your information to communicate with you, providing customer support, and other matters related to your use of the Service.
  • To analyze and improve the Service: We may use your information to analyze and improve the Service, including by developing new features and services.
  • To protect the Service and our users: We may use your information to protect the Service and our users, including by detecting and preventing fraud and abuse.
  • To generate AI feedback and to enhance our machine learning algorithms: We use your written and audio submissions, together with our third-party AI processors (OpenAI and Anthropic) and our own proprietary evaluation systems, to score your responses, generate feedback, and to train and improve our models over time.
  • To verify the same individual is using an account: Where you have separately consented, we may compare your voice recordings against your own past submissions to help detect and prevent unauthorized account sharing.
  • To confirm age eligibility: We use your date of birth and country to determine whether you meet the minimum age required to use the Service where you live.

Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR for each purpose described above:
  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service: performance of our contract with you.
  • To generate AI feedback, and to process your audio and written submissions with our AI providers and our own proprietary evaluation systems: your explicit consent, given the sensitive nature of voice data, together with performance of our contract with you.
  • To compare your voice recordings against your own past submissions to verify account use: your separate, explicit consent, given the sensitive nature of voice data.
  • To communicate with you, including customer support: performance of our contract with you.
  • To send marketing communications: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • To analyze and improve the Service, and for analytics cookies: our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service, balanced against your rights, or your consent where required for cookies.
  • To protect the Service and our users, including fraud and abuse detection: our legitimate interest in the security of the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as responding to a subpoena: compliance with a legal obligation.

Automated Scoring and AI-Generated Feedback
Scores and feedback you receive through the Service are generated by automated AI systems, including models operated by OpenAI and Anthropic, as well as Gabble's own proprietary evaluation systems. This feedback is intended to support your exam preparation and is not a guarantee of your performance on any official exam. If you have questions about how a score or piece of feedback was generated, you may contact us at contact@gabble.ai.

We may also analyze your submissions together with your own past performance to identify patterns, such as recurring types of mistakes, and provide you with a comprehensive evaluation summarizing your performance across exercises. Where we analyze performance data across multiple users to improve the Service or our understanding of common mistakes, we do so using aggregated or anonymized data wherever possible, so that it is no longer linked to you individually.

How We Share Your Information
Beyond the third-party processors listed above, we may also disclose your information:
  • As required by law: We may disclose your information to third parties if we are required to do so by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or other legal process, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Gabble Tech Pvt Ltd, our users, or the public.
  • In the event of a merger or acquisition: If Gabble Tech Pvt Ltd is acquired by or merged with another company, we may transfer your information to the new owner as part of the transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.

International Data Transfers
We are based in India, and some of our third-party processors (including OpenAI, Anthropic, and AWS) operate servers outside India, including in the United States. Where we transfer your information internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection, including through contractual safeguards with our processors.

Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. Account information is retained for as long as your account remains active. Written and audio submissions are retained for as long as necessary to provide you feedback and improve our Service. We erase your personal data once the purpose for which it was collected is no longer being served, or once you withdraw your consent or request deletion, whichever is earlier, including from our cloud storage and third-party processors, within a reasonable period. We may retain some information for longer where required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Biometric Data (Illinois, Texas, and Washington Residents)
If you are a resident of Illinois, Texas, or Washington, the following additional terms apply to the recordings of your voice that we collect (a "biometric identifier"):
  • We collect your voice recording only to generate AI-powered transcription, scoring, and feedback on your exam preparation submissions, as described in this Policy, and, where you have separately consented, to compare your voice recordings against your own past submissions to help detect and prevent unauthorized account sharing.
  • Where you have consented to the account-sharing verification described above, the voice comparison data generated from that process is retained only for as long as needed to perform the comparison, and in any event no longer than the destruction schedule described below.
  • We will not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your biometric identifiers.
  • We will not disclose your biometric identifiers except: to our AI processors (OpenAI and Anthropic) to provide the Service, with your consent, to complete a transaction you requested, or as required by law.
  • We will permanently destroy your voice recordings on the earlier of: (a) the purpose for collecting them being satisfied, or (b) three years after your last interaction with us, and in any case, promptly upon your request.
  • This destruction schedule applies to the underlying audio recording itself. It does not require deletion of the transcript, score, or written feedback generated from your submission, which is not itself a biometric identifier and which we may retain for longer, as described under "Data Retention" above, so you can keep track of your own progress over time.
  • We store and protect your voice recordings using a reasonable standard of care, consistent with how we protect other sensitive information described in this Policy.

Your Responsibilities

Consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, these responsibilities help us keep your data accurate and our grievance process effective for everyone.
Security Measures
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. However, no data transmission over the internet is entirely secure. Please keep your account credentials confidential and avoid sharing sensitive information through unsecured channels. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator as required by law.

Children's Privacy
We verify age eligibility at signup using the date of birth and country you provide, against the minimum age required to use the Service under the laws of your country (for example, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in India). If you do not meet this requirement, we do not create an account for you, and the information you provided for this check is not retained.

We do not use the personal data of any user we know to be a minor for behavioral monitoring, tracking, or targeted advertising, regardless of consent.

If you believe a child has used the Service despite this check, please contact us immediately at contact@gabble.ai so we can take corrective action, including deletion of the relevant data.
